My year in review

I finally got laid off; had five months looking for work; did mph walk in Edinburgh; got a temp job at S9 (Amazon Development Centre Scotland); about the same time found 43T; got excited about web 2.0; started as a part-time adult ed tutor in computers in late September.

Visited Lisbon in late July.

Came to terms with a lot of stuff. Feel that maybe after all I can be happy again.

I am cheering this entry out of sheer delight at consuming only a small part of your “history” as depicted on 43T.

Among other things, a stroll through your photo gallery is like a flashcard cultural history exam. I love it!

I am especially eager to know what, if any, intentionality there is behind each photo – or is it just happenstance; i.e., you added a photo when you found one that appealed?

You seem to be an interesting character (to put it much too blithely). I think you may be about to be the first addition to my 43People list.

I hope that does not frighten you.

Not at all, I’d consider it an honour. Thank you for saying that you’ve enjoyed some of my 43 Things:)

A lot of the photos in my avatar gallery are of people I have a respect for or an admiration of. Sometimes I think of someone then that will prompt thoughts of other people to include, hence the clump of British comedians from the 60s/70s.

It’s funny how you can feel comfortable wearing an avatar. For instance for a long time I favoured George Bernard Shaw, although I have none of his wit or brilliance. And the more you have the easier it is to find one that goes with goal, or entry.

I hope that you’ll enjoy 43T, and look forward to reading your posts.
